Equipping practicing disciples for life and service in the city
About The Institute
In the heart of a post-Christian, highly-individualized, fast-paced, urban environment there is a great need for the church to reimagine daily discipleship. We live in a culture that presses us to assume the story that our faith is a private, Sunday morning activity reserved for personal, moral edification. But we believe that the Bible tells the true story of the whole world and it is a story with implications for every person, everywhere in our city. To live into this counter-narrative we must know this story and be immersed in it on Sunday morning and beyond.
The Holy Trinity Institute for Discipleship & Mission seeks to disciple Christians, reproduce ministry leaders, and develop pastors through cohorts, courses, content, and cultural engagement so that the whole body of Christ is shaped and equipped to indwell the true story of the world every day of the week, in every neighborhood in the city and in every sphere of society.
The Institute was founded to do just that:
Equip practicing disciples for life and service in the city.

01. Cultural Engagement opportunities
Our fast-paced, post-Christian, urban culture elevates a story of consumerism, moralism, and relativism and asks us both in subtle and overt ways to keep our faith out of the public sphere. We want to challenge that story as well as positively engage our culture with the hope of the gospel through a variety of venues including workshops, open forums, and city renewal projects.
02. Courses
We want to see every believer grounded in their faith and challenged to go deeper. We offer a rotation of four 6-8 week core courses in the areas of Christian Story, Christian Beliefs, Biblical Interpretation, and Christian Formation. Additional courses are added regularly to go more in-depth in these areas and explore other topics of relevance to the body.
03. Cohorts
We believe that growth takes place over time and in the context of a learning community. We offer a variety of cohort-based learning opportunities for men and women leading in the church, leading in the marketplace, and training for vocational ministry.
04. Content
The world is laden with mixed messaging and it’s hard to absorb everything thrown at us. We produce timely and relevant original content through articles, blogs, and podcasts to equip and encourage the body of Christ.
